GO-ECOMMERCE ONBOARDING CAMPAIGN

This Campaign is held by Axiata Digital eCode Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 201701000820 (1214970-T))(“eCode”) in conjunction with the Belanjawan 2021 initiative by Ministry of Finance and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in collaboration with e-wallet service providers in Malaysia. By participating in the Campaign, Merchants (as hereinafter defined) hereby agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which shall form an integral part of and to be read together with Boost Business Terms and Conditions, Boost Partner Wallet Campaign Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions of the Belanjawan 2021 Initiative.

In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these terms and conditions, such inconsistency shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following decreasing order (i) the terms and conditions of the Belanjawan 2021 Initiative; (ii) these terms and conditions; (iii) Boost Business Terms and Conditions, and (iv) Boost Partner Wallet Campaign Terms and Conditions

 

Campaign Period

1 July 2021 until 31 December 2021

 

Eligibility

This Campaign shall be applicable to selected Boost registered merchants who are micro, and small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) (“eligible Merchants” or “you”), excluding charitable organizations, non-governmental organizations, religious bodies and other merchants (including Boost registered merchants) who are not MSMEs (please refer to our FAQ appended as Appendix 3 here).

For avoidance of doubt, “MSMEs” refer to micro and, small, medium enterprises and include Malaysian individuals with or without business registration as defined by SME Corporation Malaysia.

Eligible Merchants can choose to participate in the Campaign from the following two (2) options:

  1. Adopt Boost e-Commerce solution by completing the onboarding process under Boost Lokal, if eligible Merchants want to bring their business online (further referred to as “e-Commerce Merchants” where relevant); or
  2. Adopt Boost e-Payment solution by integrating and offering QR Scan and Pay only, if eligible Merchants want to use cashless payment methods only (Scan & Pay) (further referred to as “e-Payment Merchants” where relevant).       
     

Onboarding Process

e-Commerce Merchants

To sign-up, participate and be onboarded as e-Commerce Merchants in this Campaign, eligible Merchants must:

  1. Sign-up for the Boost Business ‘Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign’. The day on which the eligible Merchants sign up for the Campaign shall be referred to as “Registration Date;
  2. Complete the ‘Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign’ onboarding process which includes:  

a) Registration of a Whatsapp Business account; and       
b) Setting up a Whatsapp Business product catalogue and enabling the Boost Business Payment Link integration;

  1. Have their merchant information listed onto the Boost Marketplace;
  2. Have at least one successful transaction completed at their outlets/ stores (either offline or online) whereby payment is made via (a) scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR with the Boost App, or (b) Business Payment Link, within 30 calendar days from the Registration Date.

 

e-Payment Merchants

To sign-up participate and be onboarded as e-Payment Merchants in this Campaign, eligible Merchants must:

  1. Sign-up for the Boost Business ‘Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign’. The day on which the eligible Merchants sign up for the Campaign shall be referred to as “Registration Date;
  2. Download and login to the Boost Business mobile application; and
  3. Have at least one successful transaction completed at their outlets/ stores (either offline or online) whereby payment is made via (a) scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR with the Boost App, or (b) Business Payment Link, within 30 calendar days from the Registration Date.

 

Sign-Up Benefits

Eligible Merchants who have successfully participate in the Campaign shall be entitled to the following benefits:

a) For e-Commerce – Merchants

  1. eligible to participate in the Merchant Incentive campaign (subject to the terms of conditions of which can be found in Appendix 2) (limited only to the first 29,200 e-Commerce Merchants to sign up to participate in this Campaign);
  2. their customers may be rewarded under the Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User campaign (subject to the terms of conditions of which can be found in Appendix 2) (limited only to the first 29,200 e-Commerce Merchants to sign up to participate in this Campaign);
  3. the first 19,980 e-Commerce Merchants to sign up to participate in the Campaign are eligible to receive in-app marketing and promotional support (first-come-first-serve basis); and
  4. enjoy 0% MDR rate throughout the Onboarding Period.

 

b) For e-Payment- Merchants

  1. their customers may be rewarded under the Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User campaign (subject to the terms of conditions of which can be found in Appendix 2); and
  2. enjoy 0% MDR rate throughout the Onboarding Period.

 

General Campaign Terms and Conditions

  1. By participating in this Campaign, the Merchant hereby agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions stipulated herein.       
    The Merchant agree that it is important to safeguard the good name of the Merchant, eCode, MDEC and the Ministry of Finance. The Merchant is strictly prohibited from engaging in illegal business activities that could tarnish the image of the Merchant, eCode, MDEC and the Ministry of Finance.
  2. The Merchant agrees, consents and authorizes eCode to:    

a. collect, obtain, store and process its personal and company data provided for the purpose of participating in the Campaign, sharing updates, news and promotional emails or materials regarding the Campaign; and    

b. disclose its personal data or company data to the relevant governmental organization / authorities or third parties where required by law and to their joint venturers, or other companies under a common control (their “Affiliates”) for the purpose of processing this application and fulfilment of the Campaign. For avoidance of doubt, “personal data” includes all data defined within the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 including all data the Merchant had disclosed to eCode in its Acknowledgement Form.

  1. eCode shall not be responsible and/or liable for any loss, (including but not limited to loss of income, profits, reputation goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) howsoever arising whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, in relation to the Campaign.
  2. eCode shall not be responsible and/or liable nor shall it accept any form of liability in whatsoever nature and howsoever arising or suffered by the eligible Merchant resulting directly or indirectly from participation in the Campaign or otherwise. eCode shall not be liable for any default of its obligation under the Campaign due to force majeure which include but not limited to natural disasters, wars, riots, blockages, industrial actions, fires, floods, droughts, storms or any outside events reasonable control of eCode.
  3. eCode reserves its right at its absolute discretion to amend, vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions (including other terms and conditions referred to or appended therein) (a) for any reason, in whole or in part at any time; and (b) as directed by the Government via any relevant policy; by means of any communication method eCode deems appropriate.
  4. The Merchant must access eCode’s website in relation to the Campaign at (https://myboost.com.my/business/campaign/go-ecommerce) regularly to ensure that the Merchant is kept updated on any changes or amendments made to the Campaign mechanics and/ or these Terms & Conditions (including other terms and conditions referred to or appended therein).
  5. Any amendments, changes, cancellations or additions to these Terms and Conditions (including other terms and conditions referred to or appended therein) shall be binding on the eligible Merchant and shall be deemed to have been brought to the attention and knowledge of all eligible Merchants through eCode’s website or by any other way eCode deems fit.
  6. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and Conditions and the advertising, promotion, publicity, and other materials relating to or in connection with the Campaign, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Any matter regarding the Campaign not expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions will be determined at the sole discretion of eCode.
  7. eCode shall have the right, without any liability to the Merchants, to immediately suspend the Merchants (including withholding any settlement to the Merchants, removing their listings from Boost Marketplace and no longer be qualified/ eligible to participate in the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign, including the merchant cash incentives and user cashback campaigns pursuant thereto) if eCodes finds or has reasonable belief that the Merchants have breached any terms and conditions set out herein and/ or in the Boost Business Terms and Conditions. In such instance, eCode shall be entitled, without any liability to the Merchants, to request the relevant Merchants to return any cash incentive that they may have received under the merchant cash incentives campaign.
  8. eCode decisions in any matter in relation to the Campaign shall be final and conclusive.

 

Appendix 2

Terms and Conditions of Merchant Incentive and Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User Campaigns

Go-eCommerce Merchant Incentive & Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User Campaign Period (“Campaign Period”)

12 July 2021 until 31 December 2021

Terms and Conditions of Merchant Incentive Campaign

Eligibility

The Merchant Incentive campaign is only limited to the first 29,200 e-Commerce Merchants who have successfully completed the onboarding process under the “Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign” (“eligible e-Commerce Merchant”).

Mechanics

Monthly Cash Incentive

  1. For each minimum spend of RM20 made by a Boost user per transaction and paid to the eligible e-Commerce Merchant by scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR via the Boost App or Business Payment Link (“Transaction”), a RM1 cash incentive will be given to the eligible e-Commerce Merchant for each successful Transaction (“Cash Incentive”).
  2. Subject to paragraph 3 below, Cash Incentive is limited to a maximum of RM100 per month, and a maximum total of RM500 per eligible e-Commerce Merchant throughout the Campaign Period.
  3. Cash Incentive:
  • is given on a first-come-first-served basis; and
  • is limited to a total of RM400,000 throughout the Campaign Period or will cease to be given after the Campaign Period expires, whichever comes first.

 

Cash Incentive Fulfillment

  1. At the end of each month during the Campaign Period, the total eligible Transactions will be identified and subject to paragraph 3 above, the total Cash Incentive entitled to be received by the eligible e-Commerce Merchants (so identified) will be credited into the identified eligible e-Commerce Merchants’ bank accounts registered with Boost within 60 working days from the end of each month during the Campaign Period.       
     

Grand Lucky Draw Cash Incentive

  1. Additionally, subject to paragraph 6 below, eligible e-Commerce Merchants will receive a chance to enter the Grand Lucky Draw where each eligible Merchant will gain one (1) entry to the Grand Lucky Draw for each Transaction made by a Boost user (with a minimum spend of RM20).
  2. Eligible e-Commerce Merchants are required to have a minimum of 30 Transactions or a minimum total sale of RM500 for payments made by scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR via the Boost App or Business Payment Link to qualify for the Grand Lucky Draw.
  3. The more entries received, the higher the chances of winning.
  4. Entry for the Grand Lucky Draw closes at the end of the Campaign Period at 11:59pm.
  5. Ten (10) Grand Lucky Draw winners will be selected at random and awarded with RM10,000 cash each (“Cash Prize”).
  6. A week after the end of the Campaign Period, the selected Grand Lucky Draw winners will be notified through the official Boost Business email with instructions on the collection of the Cash Prizes.
  7. The selected Grand Lucky Draw winners must contact eCode (via communication method as set out in eCode’s notice), within seven (7) working days after being notified that they have won the said Cash Prizes (“Winner Acceptance Notice”), failing which eCode shall have the discretion to either select another winner, or to forfeit the prize(s). In such event, the selected Grand Lucky Draw winners, who are notified but failed to acknowledge and accept eCode’s notice, shall have no claim whatsoever against eCode.
  8. The Cash Prize will be credited into the selected winners’ bank accounts registered with eCode within ninety (90) working days after eCode has received the relevant Winner Acceptance Notice from each of the selected Grand Lucky Draw winners.
